Kuroshitsuji (The Black Butler)is a manga drawn and illustrated by Toboso Yana. Since its debut on September 16, 2006, it has been serialized in Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly GFantasy. The series follows Sebastian Michaelis, a demonic butler who is obligated to serve Ciel Phantomhive, the twelve-year-old head of the Phantomhive noble family, due to a contract he made with Ciel. It was announced in July 2008 that an anime adaption, directed by Shinohara Toshiya and produced by A-1 Pictures, was expected. It premiered in October 2008.
The plot it self:
In a manor house on the outskirts of Victorian London, butler Sebastian Michaelis serves Ciel Phantomhive, the twelve-year-old head of an English noble family. He carries out any task required by his master with ease and perfection, because of his secret demonic lineage and Faustian contract with his master.
For my own opinion, I love to read the manga, because the genre was comedy, fantasy, supernatural. Not to mention how Bishonen this Sebastian is ^^a
A cool Sebastian, who is a butler who can do ANYTHING. REALLY ANYTHING! Despite they had 1 maid and 1 cook and 1 gardener and 1 ex-headservant (I think). But mostly their works are disaster, and Sebastian was the one who had to fix it up.
For Yaoi lovers and bishonen lovers and gothic lovers and old English environments lovers, this can also be one of the manga of choise. You have Ciel for the shota type, and Sebastian for the Bishionen type :D You had the gothic dress style, and those old English dress (don't know the name of those kind of dress). You can see the old English backgrounds in this manga and anime.
Oh not to mention, you can knew some food names that Ciel eat for Afternoon tea, and some tea name. In the manga you can read some 'how to make' when Sebastian was talking for some cooking ^^a even is not full (got cut up with all the 'kyaaa' 'gyaa' 'help me' from the unuseful servants).
The story it self was quite good. Well for me in the manga was quite good, compare to the anime. I was bored with the anime, the comedy was not good for me. I can't give a laugh. For the manga I was laughing till the end, except for the serious part.
To be honest, I don't quite get the main purpose of the story. That's why I was unable to give a little hint about this anime/manga in my version review. For me the manga is like a comedy story for me (with some story), and the anime was like a candy-eye for me who liked bishonen.
But I do say, I love to watch the anime because I can hear Sebastian's voice, and other character's voice. I was quite shock to her Fukuyama Jun (Seiyuu of Lelouch - Code Geass) was here ^^a as a direct opposite than Lelouch :D and also with the not the voice of Lelouch ^^a
I was also shocked to hear Sakamoto Maaya as Ciel was very Boyishful O_O
Well the last time I heard her boyish voice was as Haruhi, which was not soo boyishfull.
here is the list of the Seiyuu in the anime:
Daisuke Ono as Sebastian Michaelis
Maaya Sakamoto as Ciel Phantomhive
Emiri Katou as Meirin
Hiroki Touchi as Bard
Jun Fukuyama as Grell
Junichi Suwabe as Undertaker

If you like the seiyuu, you can think this anime as one place to listen to your favorite Seiyuu.
